You are entitled to a free copy of your credit file every 12 months by getting in contact with one of these credit reporting bodies — EquifaxDun & Bradstreet or Experian. Please be aware that they may offer to charge you a fee to obtain your file faster, but this is not compulsory.

Your credit file contains information about your credit history including any credit applications that have made in the last 5 years, as well as your loan repayment information for some credit providers.

It's worth understanding your file so you can fix any inaccuracies prior to applying for credit.
